Ding Ding The first mechanical alarm clock in America was invented in 1787 by Levi Hutchins of New Hampshire- but the alarm could only sound at 4 a.m.! The beetle Agra Sasquatch of the Amazonian rain forest is named after Bigfoot because of its large feet. Joe Salter of Florida completed a marathon in Illinois in 5 hours 51 minutes, running backwards while juggling!

Who in the late-18th century wakes up at 4am? Farmers and plantation owners’ slaves maybe.

So, if someone wanted to get up at 6:00 am, he could set the clock 2 hours behind?

Back then if you wanted to eat you had to work. Before I retired I would have to get up at 3 AM 5 or 6 days a week. One will do what one has to do to get by, no matter what the era you live in.
