I lived far enough out in the boondocks that getting news of the school closures was pretty difficult. We’d stand out for maybe an hour in the snow/cold waiting for the bus. Then we’d give up.
I’m sure I had a snow day or two. But only because my school was at the top of a steep hill. .A friend has a good snow day for work. Where she worked was a university that is on top of a mountain(its a small mountain because we all consider it part & parcel of the Lower Mainland). When the transit buses don’t go up the “Hill”, the University closes. She walked home. Took her about 2 hours. But at least it was downhill. :)

They both wish they went to bible study so they wouldn’t have to go to bible study.
