Wisdom gained by experience is wasted on the young. It appears that Gene is the exception that proves the rule.

Having a baby would be the opposite of what she needs if she is already too busy and stretched thin.

Tandembuzz: That was my reading. However, the water is always shown without swells, which excludes open ocean. Much of the southern Atlantic coast, from Virginia to southern Padre has barrier islands which make the water behind them calm; the same for large bays with narrow openings.
