Leo Tolstoy had a story about a man burning his entire house bit by bit to feed his big oven. As it happens, I know it from a record of Danny Kaye telling international folk tales. When we bought it, we also bought one of him telling H.C. Anderson stories (and of course, Anderson is one of his best known movie roles).

Chesney must have heard this story cus he has a quote from it pin to the wall…
