Hello everyone. I’ve been reading this strip for over a year now and need someone to give me some clarification. What is the Tiki Bar I read mentioned. I love the friendship and banter between all the regulars. It’s late for me here so will check back at my regular time in the morning. Ya’all have a drink on me.
Imaginary???Really?Oh, Brian…. I’m so confused!Yes, it’s the only bar that has whatever you want to hear on the jukebox….and almost anything you care to drink on hand. And it’s open 24/7… with any meal any time as well.We feature yak ribs and steaks….and other food is always available.
But the drinks aren’t free…. it’s just that the money is virtual….well, unless you don’t have any….the Monkey is very kind.
If nobody pays for their drinks he’ll go virtually broke….And then he won’t be able to pay my virtual salary!
You see, Washington Eagle, the Tiki Bar is owned by MonkeyBlues, now Sheriff MonkeyBlues, whom we elected Sheriff of Ballard County back in 2012…
I just happen to be the night shift supervisor…. this is Fenton, who tends bar 5 nights a week….
On his nights off, Tues and Thurs, we have some very tiny monkeys behind the bar, and all over the place…. sigh….
So come on in… by the time you get here the morning crew may be on, maybe even Sheriff MonkeyBlues himself….
It comes with cole slaw and our special Tiki baked beans…though you can substitute potato salad, broccoli slaw, fruit salad, french fries or vegetables for either….
I’m feeling so comfortable after 2 small sirloins and a very large glass of Victorian Cab Sav. Not too sure what to follow up with but it will probably just be a long black coffee. I’m amazed that Fenton had a selection of Stefano De Piere reds.
Coffee and cookies for me please.I got a late start at work this morning, but a long day.Four clients…So, slow easy start this morning.Coffee and my comics queue…
BTw SuSun…. Thanks fer teh wok down mam memory lane wit ESS on Saterday…. Ackshuly he’s teh wun hoos got teh memry of a ephalent, but yew got teh diggin skillz of a hoe….hay StEL….thers sump’n yew can reserch fer teh “BS Nosey Naybers”hoes on BS…ah nose we gots lots of pics skatterd round…well…_jus teh pubi publick wuns enyways0..o
If Shirley only knew, she would have a fit. Stan the Man, started the meeting as usual by reading the minutes from the last meeting, of course there were no minutes from the last meeting; No Sweat! Next Slim Jim read his 200 word essay, titled “Personally I Don’t Give a S#%t”; it was well received as you can see. Then Johnny Juice recounted the story he told Margie, it was rather lengthy and detailed why the automatic garage door only opens when the humidity is just right. As soon as they finish their coffees, its over to the DMV to hog up the good spaces near the door, while they wait for the Wal-Mart to start up the free food tasting; after snacks its over to Ralph’s Bait and Tackle where the audience really appreciates a lie, the bigger the better and finally home again just after the ladies have left for the Bridge Club because sleeping on the couch when no one is home is about as good as it gets.
Hi everybody! You are never lonely when you live on Ballard, I see everyone is on the Patio, and I smell potatoes baking, just the thing for a late breakfast/early lunch, I’ll have mine with yak bacon and cheese sauce please, and a nanner smoothie. Is this seat taken? No? Ah its good to be “home”
Lots of fun every morning here and I love the explanations of the Tiki, especially Susan’s. I would like Fenton to stock up on this stuff, because it is my man’s favorite – as I mentioned on DS, I will gradually use up the stock of my Beefeater’s and Seagram’s and will only drink this when I’m with him. It doesn’t have the sour mash taste of some whiskeys that I don’t enjoy. Kisses are better with the same flavors in both mouths ;-D
The ’boys’ in the No Sweat Club like to think they come off as wild, devil-may-care types, up for any kind of trouble, but I heard from Charlene (their regular waitress) that they’re much less disruptive than some of her other regulars, and are quite generous tippers, so she’s pleased when they come in…
This photo was actually taken one morning during a meeting of the No Sweat Club … Eleanor didn’t so much as ‘turn a hair’ at their antics, sitting just two tables down…
@Stel, got too sleepy last night but just up and inventing menu for Saturday (before I arose – I do my most creative thinking in bed).I only WISH that I could ever do high kicks or the splits (not in my DNA, I’m thinking) as even in my teens I never kicked higher than just around waist height. The woman who played the fiddler in the production I recently saw, did a good high kick as part of her routine across the stage (and she’s a senior who teaches dance). I can still dance as well as when younger, but again, only kick waist high ;-(
