Aunt Fritzi: "Carol Burnett", "I love Lucy", "Johnny Carson"! What a terrific tv night Phil and I have planned! YEP! 200 HD channels on cable, and I'm waiting for Phil to bring over the old shows on his DVDS! Noise: KNOCK! KNOCK! Aunt Fritzi: AH! The tv repairman is here!

That’s the way it is… my wife and I refer to our DVD collection as our ’Network"…

I don’t have cable, but my channel line-up includes “cozi” “metv” and “antennatv”. Lots of old shows to choose from and those shows were the best!

Yep – all that nice flat screen, HD technology… just to watch the Kardashians and Honey Boo Boo.

Watched Murphy Brown and Night Court on cable recently. The lessons learned from Murphy Brown still rings true about our politicians. NOTHING has changed with them, only we lost our watch dogs that exposed their crimes. Even Saturday Night Live would spoof them. Now we are all friends that don’t snitch on them? God Save America!

I just got a Roku a few weeks ago and it’s great to watch some of my old favorite classics like Cheers and Night Court.

I used to watch a lot of network TV shows, but I looked at a list of the most popular shows of 2011-12 in my World Almanac and the only one I’d watched more than once (if at all) was “Two and a Half Men.” How is it we’ve gone from five or six channels to hundreds to choose from but there’s less TV worth watching now? I mean, the “Brady Bunch” may as well be “Masterpiece Theatre” compared to what’s on these days.

Those old shows are the best. The only thing I watch on T.V. is the news while working out at the gym, and the news is usually bad enough.

Are the Carol Burnett dvds the whole one hour show, or just parts of it? I wouldn’t mind watching them if they were the whole hour. On cable they only show a half hour’s worth of her show so I don’t watch it. Either show the whole thing or not at all. We buy dvds of shows my husband and I liked. And there are shows I like but he doesn’t. But I get them anyway when I can.

Thank goodness we have Me-Tv in our area! Saturday night lineup: ‘66 Batman, Wonder Woman, Star Trek and Svenghoulie (Creature Features). Yup—don’t get any better.

There are several “oldies” TV networks on cable. The real advantage of the DVD collection (and we have a very large one) is no commercials.

We love METV watch some local news but just about all the time the good fun shows on ME brings back a lot of memories and all so love the cars back then

Try AntennaTV and MeTV for those great old shows, better than those mentioned. Jack Benny, Phil Silvers, Green Acres, Father Knows Best, Leave It To Beaver, etc.

My husband loves Gunsmoke! So I DVR all the episodes every day for him.

And one of the most expensive sitcoms ever made lasted only about three episodes?Anyone else remember Supertrain?

Perhaps Fritzi and Phil should include some “Love, American Style”.
