    The one percenters employ the rest of us and pay 80% of the taxes. Most of the 99% don’t even pay income taxes.

    Let’s use some facts. Not numbers you just pull out of thin air. These are the facts:In 1979, the top 1% of income earners paid 18.3% of total tax bill. By 2006, they were paying 39.1% of total. Top 10% in 1979 were paying 48.1% of all taxes. In 2006, they were paying 72.8%. The top 40% of all earners in 1979 were paying 85.1%. By 2006 they were paying 98.7%.The bottom 40% in 1979 paid 4.1%. In 2006 they were receiving 3.3% in direct payments.
