@Essex, When I was first married, the basement laundry had a wringer washer much like that one. When we moved up to having our own building (so I was the landlady) we at least had a modern pair to share. I think it was Shirley’s new curtains that he decided to wash.
I’m sure Charles is thinking he can get one more wear out of it. StelBel – I always love the Nosy Neighbor News. Good Job! SusanSunshine – great comment!
Love all the comments, and don’t DARE to post about bathing arrangements and such (one of my FB friends needs bubbles) but we’re talking about camping. I’m just deliriously happy! Good night all!

Alas…. it’s now a shirt with a checkered past, but no future.

Don’t worry, Charles has shirt insurance.

This isn’t the first time Charles has realised that he shouldn’t go on any more shopping expeditions with Norm.
Norm is ever the bargain hunter… when he says “Don’t buy that shirt! I know where you can get one for $3.48,” it’s hard to resist.
But from now on, Charles thinks, I will pay full price at Ballard Fine Menswear, and Mental Health Clinic. And stay out of the basement.

Charles is beginning to think maybe he wasn’t supposed to put it all in at once,

Looks like he’ll also be shopping for a new washer – was that actually a cobweb in it?
