@ Pacopuddy. Amen and well said. I’ve always been sort of uneasy about the way Agnes treats Bob. True, he’s homely, plodding, and dull, But he seems like a decent enough guy. Thank goodness it’s only a comic strip (a very good one). Tony has a tough job balancing Agnes’ personality with what our hearts tell us should be a respectful treatment of Bob. This is more n that line with that than some of the previous strips including him. I applaud Tony for it.

I’m thinking that Tony has it just about right. When I was growing up, I was Bob. It feels just about right.
