Olive was the teenage daughter of the family that starred in the newspaper comic strip “Thimble Theater”. The Oyl family (from memory) Castor, Olive, baby Peanut..Ach! Have to look it up on Wiki!
Anyway, a couple of sailors on shore leave ( circa 1920) sees Olive at a carnival/dance. They start competing for the (easy) flapper. The story ran for 6or 7 months, as a Sunday Strip.
