My mother-in-law was, how do I put this … an “interesting” person. Whenever two of her daughters got together to talk about her, they referred to her as the absent sister’s mother.

Of her three daughters, we moved out of state, another one moved out of the country and the third sister was considering moving off planet. This sister got stuck with her most of the time. Since my MIL’s death, she has been able to get off her blood pressure medication.

I knew what I was getting into, but I married my wife anyway.
