At least, we are out of the parents bedroom and their inane chatter about getting robbed—can’t believe Calvins Dad sleeps with his glassed on.

now would be the time to put the idea to dad for a large flat screen tv.

When I was very little, the TV went in for repairs. That was before most people were hooked on TV – didn’t miss it at all. I used the little stand as a bed for my doll.

Without cable (or satellite) you can’t get Hallmark, History, Discovery… or any of the good channels.

We don’t watch TV much at all — maybe a couple hours a week. But when our TV was stolen a couple months ago, every time I saw the empty TV stand it reminded me of the burglary. After about five days of that we had to go out and get a replacement. After setting it up, it sat there, off, for a week before we actually watched it. But at least it filled the empty space. A blank black TV screen is better than a blank white wall.

The horror! The horror!

Mum or Dad’s opening line would be “When I was your age, we made our own entertainment… etc”

Don’t worry, Calvin. Dad’s gonna put a fresh coat of paint on the wall, and you can sit with Hobbes and watch the paint dry!It will be at least as entertaining as modern TV!

Being without a TV is brutal.

I don’t know how you came to have the Betty Davis knees, but worst of all young man you have industrial disease" The next tv will be bigger with a better picture than the last for less than the cost of the last one. Look at the upside Calvin.
