Gracie: Papi, do you think I can run for political office? Dad: Well, Gracie, you're very young. Dad: Your view of life is simple and narrow... Dad: Your vocabulary is limited... Dad: And you don't understand big, complicated issues. Dad: I say go for it!

Quite disappointing-sounding, but it was very uplifting.

x_Tech, I’d vote for either Gracie. Love the button. Is it real? Did Gracie Allen actually run for anything?

Gracie Allen (of Burns and Allen) ran a celebrity/ publicity campaign for President in 1948, against FDR and Adlai Stevenson. Much like Pat Paulson in 1968 and Snoopy in the 70s, it was for laughs, but garnered a lot of attention. Her nonsensical answers to serious questions got her about 5% of the popular vote. But no Electoral Votes.
