They’re doing better than I am. The last time any of our kids visited was the Sunday before Christmas. And one of them lives all of fifteen miles away.
My three older grandkids have withdrawn. That’s ok – they are who they are. I’m not going to force them to schmooze with me if they don’t want to any more. (We’re still on okay terms; they’d just rather sit in their rooms and text or whatever.)

But phone calls ARE visits. Physical presence is not requiredjust as physical presence is not sufficient.
