I quit buying American only when I learned that Budweiser is no longer an American owned product.

My wife’s Honda was made in the US, and my Dodge Ram was mostly made in Mexico, so American cars are pretty much a myth.

It’s like “Fresh Baked” – yeah, the oven it was baked in is in the back room, the ingredients to make it were mixed, packaged, refrigerated and shipped from the other side of the continent two months ago…

And even if your auto were made in the USA, up until recently the fuel to make it move was muchly from the Middle East or South America. Nowadays, it may be from a shale formation near you.

As one who looks for Made in USA it is easier and faster to find and buy a diamond engagement ring than find a truly Made in USA product. We have the largest trade deficit in the world. China has the largest surplus. It’s biggest spender vs biggest earner. Do the math. PS China can attain US Treasuries without going through Wall Street thanks to our Congress.

Assembled in USA means it is cheaper to ship things unassembled.

Anyone remember when Japan was our big import threat? They actually renamed a manufacturing hub “Usa” so they could say made in USA on box.

I wont even buy toothpaste that is not made in this country. We have too many enemies trying to hurt us. If I can’t find one, good old baking soda works – if I can find some made in this country!

The U.S.A. is the only country that believes in free trade. It’s like being the only guy at the poker table who doesn’t know the cards are marked.

My favorite example comes from the mighty Apple. We all know where their stuff is made, so they brag, “Designed in California.”

Huge problem with pet treats. The packages are flat misleading, at best.

I wonder whether Luddie could be a korat (originally bred in Thailand). He’s colored like one. If so, that could augment his concern about pet food made in China. To see korats, go to Google images, korat cats

Has anyone tried the A&J website today? I got an error message that said it was not located there. The heading with A&J was there but no posts, comments, or comics.

Yeh. I just got the same. Jimmy has been talking about making some changes, so hopefully that is “all” that’s happening over there.
