Ouch. Zeppelin may go back a ways, but it doesn’t go THAT far back! (Although, come to think of it, perhaps dinosaurs are the only ones who could understand some of "Stairway"’s more obscure lyrics…)

I was in my second year of collage when Stairway came out.

Would have thought they’d be listening to “Bang a Gong”.

He did this same strip before and the dinosaur was a T-Rex listening to the phrase “and she’s buying a stairway to heaven.”

Wow Verne making the joke of the day instead of being the joke of the day.

Funny… they just announced the release of Zep 1, 2, and 3 with special unreleased remastered songs! oldies but goodies!

Zeppelin isn’t an “oldie”, they are “classic”!

Big long neck.

Stairway To Heaven ( Led Zeppelin, 1971). Every AM radio I heard that song on played the entire eight minutes.

Thank’s. Just seeing if anybody’s paying attention. Not particularly surprised that there’s not much recognition for a T. Rex song.

I remember “Bang a Gong (Get It On)” and T-Rex with the late Marc Bolan. I was in middle school and already setting the stage for a lifetime of tinnitus by blasting it through a pair of cheapie headphones my parents got with a turntable-only stereo for signing up with the Longines Symponette Record Club. Here’s some trivia for that song: Flo & Eddie from the Turtles sang background vocals on it.

“Stairway to Heaven” is not an oldie!!!!

It is a classic…..

Which is different from and oldie…..
