Tom the Dancing Bug by Ruben Bolling God-Man The Superhero With Omnipotent Powers! This Week: "MYSTERIOUS WAYS" God-Man is enjoying one of his favorite pastimes, watching C-Span2, when... God-Man: What kind of legislation is that?! God-Man: I shall appear unto that congressman and explain very clearly my position on that bill! God-Man: No, what am I doing? That's not my style -- far too obvious! God-Man: I know -- I'll write my view in fiery letters in the sky! HR-6341 IS ILL ADVISED God-Man: No -- too gauche. THINK, God-Man! What to do? God-Man: Got it! I'll give those who OPPOSE the bill the strength and eloquence to defeat it. "...plus angel wings!" God-Man: Nah, who am I kidding? That doesn't feel right either! God-Man: I'll just send a couple of hurricanes to the Gulf. They'll get the message. THE END

Why, it’s almost as if he doesn’t participate in our lives at all!

I wonder which HR-6341 this is referring to. Is it the one from 2006 about funds to help rebuild Iraq, from 2008 on regulating energy derivatives, or from 2012 to allow a partial exclusion of foreign-earned income of government contract employees.
None of them seem the kind of thing to trigger righteous wrath.

Or it might be a random number, and the real point is that it is very difficult to tell from hurricanes what God is saying, given the wide scale destruction.

“Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground outside your Father’s care.” (NIV).He doesn’t STOP them from falling, just allows it. Throwing a few hurricanes around to influence legislation (or to protest gay marriage, or whatever) is actually progress..Plus: inflation. The price of sparrows these days is simply outrageous.

Angel wings would convince me!
