When I was 21 or 22 I worked at a small plant. I was in charge of one of the lines, overseeing 4 other workers.The boss hired a buddy to be my foreman, but this joker knew nothing of the business and I was having to train him on the entire operation. He was hired at about 25% higher salary than me “because he was married”. The boss gave a whopping 5c/hr raise as compensation.I walked out! The boss raised my salary to almost what the new foreman was making. I came back but only ’till I decided to go back to school.
