I keep telling my wife, please don’t buy tomatoes at the store. It’s just not worth it, I can wait for the ones out of our garden. But those of you that have a garden already know this don’t you? But all this doesn’t stop my wife from buying tomatoes once in a while. “They look so good….”
NONE of the store tomatoes taste really good in the winter, but the best of the worst, I’ve found, are either the romas or the little grape tomatoes. At least they have SOME flavor.

Home grown Heritage tomatoes are the best. Won’t find those in a market!
