i have a rule in my house. anyone messes with the termostat gets their fingers broken!!!!!!!

This describes my house – only in the reverse. In South Louisiana we often use the a/c in winter more than the heater.

Ha! Since getting the corn/pellet stove a few years ago in the winter if it gets too warm in the house we just open a window or two.

There is no relationship between my thermostat setting and the true temperature. Also at times the "stat"changes its own setting. Slap it a bit and it will be good for a few days

This is exactly like my dad! (My mom loves it when I come to visit because its the only time my dad turns the heat up because I live in Fl and can’t take the cold.)
