some of the teachers at my grandsons school have a pocket hanger, like a shoe holder, and as you come in the classroom you have an assigned pocket to put your phone in and you pick it on the way out.

At my daughter’s school, they are allowed to have their phones at lunchtime but my daughter only texts me. She doesn’t even call her friends when she’s at home, they call her. But she’s very social in person, very rare in this day and age.

When you are at school, you should be focused on school WORK, just like when you are at a job, you should be focused on your work. Put the FRACKING phones away. And Jean, your grandsons school seems to have a good policy in place.
