The table isn’t the only thing that’s piled with junk, Joy must have brought dinner (see Beef Hut above) cause Ma only eats Meals on Wheels, (its free)

I had a great uncle, Arthur, the Atomic Professor, who lived like that. Alone, unsurprisingly. His wife went to buy cigs 2 years into their marriage and never came back. His whole house was filled with rocks, including his bed. He slept in a chair. He knew each and every rock and its provenance. When he died the Univ. of Chicago got the collection, which was better than theirs. But to live like that. Jeesh!

I didn’t think they cared where they ate Yes Burl eat on the closet floor, then Ma can close it so she doesn’t see you. The garbage can lid would be nice for Joy, she can eat left overs without getting up.

I hope Ma doesn’t forget those checks, she needs her meds. you know.

Looks like my sister’s table. Most folks eat in the dining room because it’s civilized. They ate there because they couldn’t get to the kitchen table. I have kneaded bread on her DR table – antique cherry – because there was no space in the kitchen.

Looks a little like my kitchen counters did a little while ago. I was mixing up a batch of breakfast bars. Now I’m still eating some of the last of the oranges I can glean from my tree. I used the pole thingy yesterday. I’m still using beet root, cranberries and orange (with lots of the zest) instead of the apples I used to use for the bars. It was difficult to find a sweet way to eat beets.

Cheez-whizz, any Grand Ma Ma worthy of the title should stow a set of those “T.V. trays” with the folding legs and the lip around them so’s you don’t accidentally slide your plate and/or cup onto the living room rug….and they fold up all neato into a rack like a croquette set that can be shoved into a corner or onto the……closet floor!! AND they don’t have to miss any T.V.!!
