I always go to Lowe’s or Home Depot and look for the plants on their death rows. I’ve gotten wonderful plants there, they just need some water and love.
I’ve been on my own since 1980. I had the best green thumb for houseplants for about 20 years. Then I moved to a southern state and haven’t been able to keep a plant alive. Can’t figure it out. When people give me plants as thank you gifts all I can think is “well, here’s another one which is going to bite the dust.” Sigh.
Ruthie says that she’s “notoriously bad at starting my plants indoors”? That part seems just fine to me; transplanting them outside is where the problem starts!

I wonder if she does it too suddenly? They need to be outside in pots for a little longer each day before they’re planted out.
