Poncho: So! You gave me a hard time for living with cats?
Dog 1: What are you doing here??
Poncho: Wait till the guys down at the cafe find out…
Poncho: …That you like taking baths!
Dog 1: NOOOOO
I saw your posts on yesterday’s strip …including the suggestion to flag images as a way to bring the “reply-box” glitch to the attention of GoComics admins.
PLEASE don’t do that!Flagging alerts only moderators… it tells them you think there was bad behavior on the part of a poster.
How in the world, with no way for you to add a message to your flag, would they be expected to derive that you mean, instead, to alert not them, but the WEB TECHS, to a glitch in GoComics code?
Mods don’t deal with code; they deal with people.
They’ll just assume you have a complaint about the image or the poster.
One more complaint logged against pictures in the forums. YES they have had many…. especially about images that are too numerous or too large for someone’s dial-up or merely their taste..
In fact that’s one reason I ask people to curtail image size…. and thanks for posting the code in yet one more place.
GoComics customer service HAS responded to a couple of people in the past, more or less saying that they really don’t care for the whole idea of image posting…. they allow it grudgingly.
Please don’t help convince them that one more user is against it.Thanks.
I use “350” but sometimes on GC things get screwed up. The second pic is an example. I often put a line of comment at the top of the pic, but it was a long day yesterday and I was out of brain!
Al S… I didn’t say they shouldn’t have to deal with it, only that flagging pictures is sending the wrong message to the wrong person…
You want to write to someone who deals with the mechanics of the site, not flag a friend for posting a picture…. your friend didn’t code the site, and a mod will simply try to figure out why you object to that post.
As for the discussion here, generally no one from gocomics reads it.
My rescue JRT loves a bath. She just jumped into the tub one night. Was paddling around. She still likes them but her arthritis means she needs a wee boost into the tub

As Nelson Muntz would say, “Ha-ha!” while pointing at the victim misfortune.

Considering that Poncho has been caught on more than one occasion like this… (image from Paul Gilligan’s Blog)
…he had better think twice about his latest plan!

And jpuzz… on sites where you can attach a note, it is seen by the moderator … not posted on the forum!
I never recommend ANY sort of public sniping or discourtesy!
