Yes, Angus can plead down to “broadcasting without a license” to avoid the assault and battery, attempted grand theft auto, racketeering and murder charges.
Angus’s behavior has made no sense since he arrived at the station. Why is he assaulting people and pulling his gun and whatnot? He didn’t even know the cops were onto him, did he?
He should have realized that Tracy and Sam would hear him, so he gave himself away. Didn’t he ever hear of that host of a kiddie radio show who made an infamous statement without realizing the mike was on?
Gertie and Sparkle’s expressions say a lot wordlessly. And if Tabby is so addled that he chooses to shoot it out with Tracy and Sam, he’ll look in the end like Fearless Fosdick on one of his bad days….
Um, not. Not since the late 70s – early 80s have you needed one. These days, all the FCC cares about is if the Station’s License is up to date and the station has an engineer with a FIRST CLASS license on-call.
Okay, sorry for the rant (being a former DJ, I would know).
BTW, check out Retro Country – The Bear on Facebook ;)
Yet another tremendous use of the two-panel option. Tabby has a life or death decision to make. Montana Joe and Carl are floored by the latest developments. Sam and Tracy save the day with great timing and a wee bit of wit.
I really like the art in panel 1 – the way Tracy is easing back just a bit, before entering the next room, finger to lips in the universal gesture for silence. Cool.
In light of yesterday’s speculation that Lil’ Attitude might be able to save the day, here is a lil’ look back at the birth of the lil’ terror. Nobody wants to mess with Lil’ Attitude. The delivery room crew knew as soon as they saw what their eyes would not forgive, their minds not forget. There was one who never came back..
.
Lizz and Sam saw, too. They warned Tracy, to no avail. “Ye Gods!” he cried, when he saw what Gertie had wrought..
.
Lil’ Attitude has more passion than skill, so the hatchet may miss the mark.
.
Still, Tabby would bring out the beast, er, the best in Lil’ Attitude. One toss o’ the hatchet might well be all he’d need.
Relative to the “makes no sense comment above” it is befuddling how Gravel Gertie Sparkle and Joe Montana(Great Arm BTW) got involved. Maybe it’s because there are just too many stories going on at once and it’s easy for the storytellers to lose t rack.

I wonder if all of this is being broadcast over the air. I’m sure the station’s ratings just skyrocketed.Great second panel by the way, it says a lot.

Tabby now pointing his gun at Tracy and Sam? I expect he’ll be dead fish dead very soon.

Very good panels today. Will Angus grab one of the ladies and use them as a shield? Is Angus’ gun loaded? Tomorrow will tell.

Angus has a large handgun, machine pistol? How many holes in Tracy’s hat ?

Looks like Angus is going to live. Was kind of expecting him to die the typical Gouldian ironic death by being trampled by his own horses.
