I doubt Nelson’s mother can afford to send him to college.

Nelson does have a father. He was seen at one time, long ago.

Way too many lawyers as it is now anyway and doctors are quitting and retiring or changing jobs due the new rules/laws and ever rising costs. Better to look into tech jobs.

A lawyer is nothing but a celebrated janitor. His job is to clean up the mess someone else made, and to avoid humiliating the mess-maker in the process.

Don’t let ’em pick guitars and drive them old trucks. Make ’em be doctors and layers and such.

I think Nelson should have a dairy farm, so he can always have a wig for his head.

I hate when parents decide what a child should do for a job. My mother was that way. Didn’t like the jobs I had but when I had to take an office job to pay bills and raise my kids, she was pleased as punch while I was miserable.

If you want the kid to be in the bucks, buy him a bat and a baseball. Or a football. Or a set of golf clubs. 10,000 hours of practice and he’ll be set for life.

Want more money, spend less…that is my motto, life isn’t about how much you make, it really is about how much you spend and if you tie your happiness to income you will never be happy, because you’ll never make quite enough and spend just as much as you make, hoping that the next thing you want will fill that void.

Look at it this way . . . . Garbage Men clean up!

If everyone became a doctor or a lawyer whose parent or grandparent wanted them to, there wouldn’t be any other professions in the world.

It’s up to Nelson what he decides to be at the end.

I think Earl and Nelson are on the right road, here. Plan for the job that exists, not the one that might come about.

Yuck, doctor or lawyer. Let poor little Nelson be what he wants.
