Yes. It is a blessing to still be able to watch a show from your childhood with your parent, when you are an adult. I wish I could still watch certain childhood shows with my father.
my daughter thinks it is funny that my grandson has discovered “Full House” and watches it every time it is on. She also liked that when she was younger.
First we shared Sesame Street, then we shared Danger Mouse (and Count Duckula), then we shared the Goon Show and Monty Python. Now we can share Kevin Smith films. :)
We got our first TV around when I started HS, so there was little that I watched WITH my parents and
my kids were all about a year apart, so when we got TV it was more to keep them busy while I cooked and we probably watched some variety shows together (none that I remember).I can remember reading as a child (every bit of children’s stuff available, fables and Grimm then O’Henry, Poe etc) and reading to my kids (all the newest Seuss etc)And reading to the grandkids with funny voiceovers. . . .
But now the youngest of the 6 grandkids is 12 and none live close. I’ve decided to move closer to new BF (but still have about a mile between); I can join more of the clubs that he enjoys there too (all at a flat fee and only for residents) and some of mine will not be the same ones, but we both do lapidary and silverwork. Can still have fun.

My eldest daughter found a cable network that shows old TV series – Roy Rogers, George and Gracie, My Little Margie.
