In television the target audience for advertisers is 18-49. They don’t care how many people are watching overall. That’s why when a well watched show is cancelled its because they didn’t reach enough of the desired 18-49 demo. I guess this explains a lot of the dreck we’re stuck with & why there’s a high churn rate overall every year at this time.
