Wow 50 comments yesterday. Thanks. I bet Mr. Smith isn’t even his real name.Speaking of names…What is your butler’s name?

Stepin Fetchit. It is not my real name, but it has more class than Hey You!

We used to have a butler’s pantry – does that count? (We didn’t name it.)

The next town to the north of me is Butler, PA. So I have a large selection to choose from.

We were talking about help yesterday; I never had any except the kids. From the time the 2nd arrived I started having the 1 YO fetch and carry little bits and they took on more as they grew (otherwise, 4 kids in 5 years would have been difficult). I remember my mom and my daughter both having housekeeping help at times, but I never found it necessary (and don’t like strangers poking in my stuff).

Just twice near the end of mom’s life, I had a nurse’s aide during day while I was working (and I pre-prepared mom’s lunch – she just needed to watch that she was safe, and help on and off toilet). Obviously too much idle time – some gold jewelry vanished “mysteriously”.

Sorry, I missed your second question the first time around. Biggest expense lately is my teeth. No dental insurance and 2 root canals in the past few months.
