When I was growing up it was always my Mom who got my Dad’s birthday wrong. Every year she asked me, “Is your Dad’s birthday the 15th or the 16th?” I always said it was the 16th, but she thought I was wrong and always celebrated it a day early! Dad shook his head and one year he got a bit angry, saying they had been married for 20 years and she still couldn’t remember his birthday. I finally bought her a metal calendar with family members’ birthdates engraved on it. That FINALLY solved that situation.
just to be pedantic we actually celebrate anniversaries of birthDATES. One can only celebrate their birthDAY about every 7 years on average. (my next is in 3 years)

There comes a time when another birthday only excites you for the obvious reason (it beats the other option hands-down).
