There weren’t many of those sugar-coated cereals when I was a kid, but my mom’s standard answer was “If you want to eat that, use your allowance”. When I was in boarding school my choices were “take it or leave it”. Corn flakes or oatmeal.
Seems like I saw some ads several years ago where some kind of creature threw away the cereal (I think it was Kix) and ate the box. Anyone else remember an ad like that?

I would think there’s lots of fiber in the box. Just don’t try to “sugar coat” it or butter it for flavor.
