    Moon Indians! They’re the worst kind. Their arrows hit their target instead of floating away. JP Steve, we haven’t left BT.

    Technically would they be Native Moon People? Unless there is an India somewhere on the moon.

    First of all, they are Moondians, indigenous to the moon - not Indians or Native Americans. Jeesh, they even have antennae.

    Secondly, the moon has some gravity; hence, arrows find their mark… eventually.

    Thirdly, the locals ALWAYS shoot the white guy - they make the best targets.

    And here I thought it was as logical as a cow jumping over a moon made of green cheese… I certainly hope I’ve offended everyone with such a preposterous premise…

    Helllllooooooo, TRIBE!

    I love it!!! And the astronaut would be the alien, not the Moondians. But I do wonder, where did they get the feathers? If my ancestors had done this when the Pilgrims landed, things might have turned out better.

    Goodquestion, Arrow Shirt? You do know there was such a thing, right? If you remember that, you’re pretty old there, (Yes, I remember too, my one aunt worked in the Arrow Shirt Factory when I was little.)

    Nitpick: Arrows don’t require feathers on the Moon to aim true, inasmuch as there’s no atmosphere. The Moonians (aka Lunarians) more likely would’ve invented the crossbow…or the slingshot….or even the catapult.

    If the latter, seeing that they obviously speak Latin (since all their world’s geological features are named in that language), one might expect to hear the following in some dark alley (crater?) somewhere:

    Catapultam habeo. Nisi pecuniam omnem mihi dabis, ad caput tuum saxum immane mittam - I have a catapult. Give me all your money, or I will fling an enormous rock at your head

    I have it, from the highest authority (Robert Heinlein), that the locals call themselves Lunatics.

    It took us 3 hundred years to take a continent away from people who were armed like that.

    Not that it matters, but I wrote the wrong thing - forgot to play with my words.

    These are NOT the stings of arrows and outrageous fortune.

    Seven hours later, it’s correct, but still not very funny. :-}
