I can identify with Arlo. But I’ve not had much at all today. If I don’t get enough I tend to get headaches, which can evolve into migraines. If I get enough, it’s an extra trip or two to the can. Come to think of it, the lack of quality sleep can also lead to migraines.
Seems I can only go about 4 hours before I have to get up and chase the potty monkey away. Now I know why older people tend to fall asleep (nap) during the day.
Swig a glassa water before bed, get up at 4AM, take thyroid and plavix pills with a big glassa water, go back ta bed. There. My 7AM alarm is now set and I don’t even own a alarm clock!
Arlo, it’s not just the increased water consumption. It’s also the reduced bladder size due to the enlarged prostate. Trust me; I know of what I speak.
I don’t have no prostate, but both sides of my family were “get-up-at-nighters.” I have to take Probenecid, or I get a flareup of a weird undiagnosed gouty condition (that my dad apparently had). The medicine helps me get up two or more times per night, not counting get-up time. My dad had kidney stones pretty bad and had a kidney out. One of my daughters has stones, too, but thank goodness not me.

At least he woke up on his own. My cat will walk up the bed and stand on my bladder.
