The Toyota War took place between Chad and Libya in 1987, so-called because of the use of Toyota pickup trucks by Chadian troops. The CIA financed abstract expressionist art during the Cold War because they believed it promoted anti-communist ideals. Rin Tin Tin, the German Shepherd dog who starred in 27 Hollywood movies, was discovered as a puppy by an American soldier in the middle of a World War I battle.
