My dad had a workshop that we were rarely allowed to set foot in.

THAT’s what my shop needs!

Marty would be green with envy if he knew that his neighbor’s dog, Mr.Piddles, has a better costume than his.

Most of my elaborate costumes are hung in the garage as well (I put heavy duty hooks that support numerous hangers along the front of one of the upper storage shelves), so silk and embroidered gowns hide paint trays and pool chemicals.

The house I like best has 2 nice work rooms which were additions – one out from laundry and the other from garage, and each has a wall unit for cooling. We could do metal and woodwork in one, ceramics and stained glass in the other.

Mine is the bathroom……….

I’ve been researching cowl-neck swimsuits (the one I made earlier this week is great, but I like the one I saw at Lord and Taylor – but in Red (still with trim). Thing is, making it myself I can do exactly as I please AND it won’t be anywhere near the prices I saw there!

I used this pattern for the first one – halter top in blue, but I think the cowl neck will be more becoming in red. This is the pattern I used (fits perfectly). and I used view B with low cut legs (totally comfortable for lots of swimming) and it looks great with my sheer pareo trimmed with silver sequins. I will not trim the blue suit (that’s the practical one). and the materials cost WAY less than $20 for each suit (lining, elastic and all).

I washed all the linens today and need to go make up my bed before cocktail time. I may check in before I go to my bath.

Sorry guys…. I fell asleep on the job last night….last thing I remember, I was shampooing some new clients….they all came in very late, after they got off work, selling hot dogs in the park.Thinking about Marty’s little kingdom got me to daydreaming…

I was out shopping with my daughter all day. We finally dropped and I finally got here. Beviek – so good to have you back. Love all the pictures and videos. StelBel – loved your Ballard Street – NO ONE has dominion over my end of the couch either. pcolli -would love to share in your imaginary lottery winnings. And yes, I was surprised there were only 30+ comments here this late. Happy – I love Bugs Bunny – he’s definitely the king in my book. Susan Sunshine – absolutely loved your picture. Dream big! You need to post that one again so everyone sees it.

OH, YES, StelBel is the Queen of Ballard Street without a doubt (and Susan the Princess, but Bev must also be at least a minor princess with all she’s accomplished!
