When I was a kiddywink, living in East Vassalboro, Maine, every time we went into Waterville (which was often, because it had both the nearest supermarkets and my father’s job), when we reached the intersection of ME-32 and ME-137 (the further north of the two such intersections that exist today, because the Donald V. Carter Memorial Bridge and its approach roads had not yet been even so much as conceived), my father would always take the left turn, and oh!, how that would disappoint me, because the right turn had an arrow pointing to “China”, which stuck me at the time as being (at least potentially) a much more interesting destination.

As long as I’m here, may I point out that today’s (2014-06-01) “Gasoline Alley” rather reminds me of “Girl”?

I wish I was an honorary unicorn.

Considering what unicorns have thought of Phoebe in the past, I’d say honorary unicorn is a huge step up, so take what you can get.

I would consider being an honorary Unicorn pretty cool.

I think there may be a typo in Phoebe’s words in the last panel. “This is in my pocket is the Legend…” does not sound right. Maybe it should be “this thing in my pocket?”

I agree with “everything concerning unicorns is legend”.

I just finished a legendary trail ride of my own, after which my horse rolled in the mud. Maybe Marigold should try it. Mud has legendary properties all its own.

Honorary legends are a grey area?

WAIT JUST A MINUTE. Unicorns have a magical coat that they can control to decide if they get mud on them or not.
