I live in Nova Scotia. The only way the roadways have changed is by falling apart…

I can date my GPS by the fact I have not updated it in a while. A new by-pass was built to straighten a road about 5 years back and the GPS shows I am driving in the middle of a field.

My GPS starts to nag me after a year without updating — a message comes up on startup: “your map data is over a year out-of-date….go [here] to update…”

Planning a trip to Tokyo, you can actually use google maps’ street view to go inside businesses and restaurants.
