All the “gluten free” nonsense has too many people without a problem avoiding it. Even some doctors promote the silly fad.
I tried it at the beginning of my vegetarian year and found that the only good thing without gluten is nut flours. I made myself some great crackers with almond meal (and hazelnut too). They are pricey, but beat the heck out of the tastless rice flour garbage sold in the stores.
The problem is that many people label themselves as having the so-called “leaky gut syndrome” based on their own diagnosis. I know some who have used this as an excuse for gaining weight without ever consulting a doctor about it.
