Michael’s attempt is, of course, naïve… at least in the real world. If this were some TV sitcom, the whole moving story would just be a tease, and the writers would find some all too easy way out. Charles Schulz did a storyline wherein Lucy and Linus moved- and came right back. In later years he regretted resolving it as quickly as he did. He could have gotten much more mileage out of it, and still brought them back. The return was never realistic, but then PEANUTS was far more abstract than FBOFW.
That doesn’t make sense because (SPOILER ALERT AHEAD) the Enjos have two kids…Brian and Dawn. So if Connie’s house had two bedrooms either Brian and Dawn would have shared that room or the Enjos would’ve had to add on the second bedroom and probably another bathroom too because I’m sure the parents wouldn’t have wanted to share a bathroom with their children unless they couldn’t afford it after adding the extra room.
I used to work for a builder and one of the homes we built had 3 upstairs bedrooms (each with a private bath) and the master suite downstairs. One of the buyers of that particular model had three teenage daughters and he was delighted at the idea of “guarding” the staircase by sleeping downstairs. That could be the case in Connie’s house, too: 2 bedrooms and a bath upstairs and the master suite downstairs.
that’ll teach em not to mess with a little boy’s determination. Most realtors do not like children hanging around while they’re pitching. Strange there are two kids lurking about.

Micheal’s attitude will change when a couple with a cute daughter close to his age views the house.

Duck, I thought that was Annie’s baby Richard who would only use his own pot. Or were there two such stories?
