I doubt anyone is confused about the status of Frank Buckles due to the current storyline. I can say for sure that I’m not confused, anyway! I hope Mr. Buckles is a fan of Gasoline Alley from way back, and is enjoying the “notice” of old friends Skeezix and Walt.
I understand what you’re saying Devonshade and you have a right to voice your opinion without being criticized. This strip has definitely become a “sacred cow” to many of it’s readers.

Devonshade, this strip is a terrific way to draw attention to Frank Buckles and the WWI survivors. There is no disrepect here.
