about forty years ago , working in a post office. One white guy was talking to someone describing someone they met as ‘colored’. An old black guy heard this and laughed and asked the old white guy what color the guy was.
‘Colored’ as a description of people was being replaced by ‘black’ at the time but the older gents were used to the term usedfor many years prior to that.—-
