Huey: Excuse me, is this the line for "star wars"? Man: Yep. We should be within sight of the theater any day now. I've been in line for this movie for one year, three months and seven days. I quit my job and dedicated my life to seeing "star wars" on opening day... Huey: So why are you at the back of the line? Man: I just got here an hour ago. The theater I was waiting at decided to go out of business yesterday. Huey: What?! After you were out there all that time? That's rough... Man: Well, I showed them! I grabbed a lead pipe, and I found the owner, and I gave in to the dark side!! Huey: Whoa, take it easy...

I was going to take this comic strip off my favorites list, since it went back to strips read not too long ago, but I don’t remember these Star Wars ones. Is my memory that bad?

Anyway, you’ll never find me in a line such as that, or for any other thing.
There is absolutely no benefit to be standing in line for anything in our society, since it is not some kind of achievement such as in sports, or a personal best, or writing a book, or inventing something.
No one wants to talk to a braggart after a minute.
…and “bragging rights” are completely worthless.
In the proverbial water cooler days, you’ll hear about “the hours” they spent in that line, no one, but no one, compliments them on their achievement.
