It’s a win win situation, state government gives licenses, hunters do the work and keep the profits.

Hunting isn’t for me. I just don’t have the discipline to kill a defenseless wild animal.

Hell the deer and the turkeys come to my house to eat, we only shoot at those who shoot at us first, and none of those critters have ever shot at us in anger.

Why hunt deer? Because no one really farms them like cattle or pigs, sells the meat in the store like cattle or pigs, etc. If someone would try to farm them, sell venison in the stores, hell, I’d be there buying it to make venison stew a lot more often! Can you imagine? Going down to the local Walmart, picking up venison steaks, ground venison for burgers, stew meat, etc….mmmmm.

The acomplishment is that you bring food to your table. Free range, antibiotics-free, lean and very tasty if you know how to cook it correctly. The same for those cute little bunnies. And by the way, I have also raised, slaugthered and butchered chickens, goats, sheep and cows.
