Editor's note: Yesterday in this comic, a character was shown reading aloud the filmography of actress Vivica A. Fox. While we are sure the creator's intentions were innocent, we have received nearly three hundred complaints that the material was inappropriate and in bad taste. Editor's note (cont.) While we at this paper firmly defend Mr. McGruder's right to free speech, we wanted to express our agreement with the readers that Vivica Fox's filmography, while not "technically" classifiable as profanity, is nevertheless unfit for the comics page. That was in 2001…now we have he/she actually playing in the WNBA…so sad that women fought so hard to have their own sport, just to have it taken away. I don’t care if you wanna be something other than you were born as, but try getting your own league started…
