Rita could descend into the realm of the gimme-clueless and demand a grandma-shower (yes they have these, to give grandmom to be baby stuff so when the little ones are baby sat she has everything SHE needs) That is just right up there with Tacky-tack-ee
Hey all, in keeping with the current giveaways I will give away a couple copies of my first book The Plutonium Blonde which is now on kindle. Just email Working Daze Comicto be considered.
Sounds like my dad, said that when I had my first my sisters when they had theirs, and when the great grands came along….too bad he isn’t around to meet his 3 great greats came along but sure he is enjoying them. smiling pay back is sweet…..lol..
18 years old is the socially accepted minimum age for parenthood. Biologically, most women are capable of bearing children as young as 13, though there have been cases of girls as young as 9 having children. Therefore, 18 is the minimum possible age to be a grandmother, with 26 still being a lowball number. 36 is the youngest socially accepted age for grandparenthood. I am going to assume Rita is older than 18, and she is almost certainly older than 26. If she is 36 (from the socially accepted minimum), that can scarcely be described as “barely old enough to be a mom”, though. In fact, it is old enough that doctors would deem it an “at risk” pregnancy.
I was only upset at the thought of being thought a great gma from the grandchildren of my former DIL (her sons had children out of wedlock and I never accepted their lifestyles anyway (the 2 boys were in late teens when my son married her, and I liked her a lot, but her boys were antisocial and unpleasant). In any case, they are currently divorced and living their own lives, but still there is a chance (as neither has other plans and they still converse). He needs a strong positive woman as she is (not the other wimpy ones he dated since the divorce- his siblings agree with me). That son is a Libra like me- needs someone decisive.

I’ve not heard of the daughter (either of them; think there’s two) being married, or Rita would have thrown a fit paying for a wedding.

Rita will survive. I did after finding out 3 weeks ago that I now have 2 great grand-daughters. Close enough to visit but too far away to babysit…!

Quick! Hand Rita her water bottle so she can re-stabilize her sense of balance!

Wow! She must be upset; she dropped her water bottle. I thought it was super glued to her hand.
