Well…. let’s see, Tony…I mentioned a bunch of them when you asked this a couple of weeks ago …but I may have some other GPA’s too… I’m pretty proud of my Golden Pineapple Award ….

My greatest pun accumulation was probably on Brevity a few months ago…I’d have to search….

I already let you see my giant purple aardvark….

No, unless your grades improve you’ll never earn enough money for a house and car.

Two teenagers apply for a job a Subway. One has a 3.9 GPA and the other a 2.5 GPA. Which one gets the job at Subway? Answer? The one who has more WORK experience. THAT is not a great motivator to have a high GPA.

Midsouth Dave The motivator for a higher GPA would be not having to work at Subway to begin with. The kid with the 3.9 will work there till college, whereas the other kid might have to make a career there.

My HS GPA was 0. My college GPA was 3.765. .There is no better motivator for good grades than having to pay for the classes yourself.

I finished HS in 1955 (so I had my 50th Reunion in 2005). I excelled in the subjects I found interesting and barely passed the rest (did especially badly in phs. ed. because I don’t play well in teams and skipped it whenever possible).

No, Elliot, I won’t buy you a house and a car if you improve your grades. However, if they don’t improve, I will kick you out of this house and you won’t even have a car to live in.
