The pain of a nuke going off in your face is non-existant. Before your nervous system could react you would already be plasma. The pain of rejection could last for years if you let it.

Nice progression. She’s already dumped Tip, of course, and judging by her smile, I’m guessing they’re a go, assuming they don’t blow up, of course.
BTW, I love the look on his face in panel 3. He’s more anxious about asking her out than about blowing up!
