In 1875, Narcisse Huret of Paris invented a tricycle powered by dogs on treadmills. Looks... Um... Yummy!? French insect breeding company Micronutris produces cookies made from powdered crickets and mealworms. The first airplane flight attendants, introduced by Boeing Air Transport in 1930, had to be single nurses, under 25 years of age, less than 5 feet 4 inches tall, and under 115 LBS.

I suppose the nurses fact is because the size of the planes and the help they could bring in case of an emergency.

What was considered late-19th-century French exercise (for humans)?

I’m more worried about the appending of ist to anything you don’t agree with. America was still a free country in the 1930’s.

I’m sure that tricycle seemed like a good idea until a squirrel or cat was spotted by the “motors”.

If the stewardesses were taller than 5’4", they couldn’t fit into the treadmills that powered the plane. The cricket cookies kept them trim.
