He rode off the ghosts of his brothers. The ghost he left in the lake wrote the rest, except for the numerous, incoherent, drunken public rants that he gave all by himself.
Does ‘Shoe’ always have a scowl on his face when he is
at one of Sen. Belfry’s new conferences? Or is it a
permanent addition to his Face? Probably had some
‘3 alarm chili’ at Roz’s that coming back on him.
The thing is, Sen. Belfry seems to keep getting elected. That says more about the problems in the country and his electing constituents than it does about Belfry. There’s a message there for those who can read it.
The epitome of bombasity in a politician was in Al Capp’s L’il Abner by the name of Jack S Phogbound. There was a saying in Dogpatch - “There no Jack S like our Jack S.
Susan, they especially get mad on Adam when I suggest that all the coffee must be making his teeth brown. It’s not like the guy appears to be well groomed, or clean looking, but they blow a fuse and rip into me for suggesting it, even though the subject of the day is usually his coffee obsession.
This guy is a politician who looks just like a big Dead Ted, drunken nose and all. That’s all I see whenever he appears here. I always thought it was done that way for a reason.
@jrbj, you have an all-too-valid point, but you’re forgetting that the deck is stacked - all the candidates are bought in advance, or we never even hear of them.
BTW, before a third party can exist, don’t you need a second party? Someone other than the Reblicrats? Or are they Demicans?

Sure they mostly get re-elected. A useful politician, once bought, stays bought.
If he (or she) doesn’t, they don’t have much of a chance with the backers who fund them, and call the shots.

IndyMan - he usually seems to . . except when Cosmo or Roz surprise him with a zippy comeback.
CA_QUERCUS — they don’t have to, they revel in lies all on their own. Is that why they’re dead last in ratings??

I’m surprised this particular Senator has a life even worth writing about…since he’s already done so much, ah, lying about (on the barroom floor)…
