I hate to say this. Lennie should be the one to fill you in, but he is in the pits where sunshine dont glow. Our friend , no MY friend Linda passed last night. She will no long be with usl There are a bunch of ladies in Rockford who are in much the shape that I am in, we are to use one of Linda yiddish words verkelplt – Dammit, I just knew she would get beyond this and join us in our i dont know, just us, and her funnies. Dammit, you can flag me if you want. Linda is gone.I dont know what else to say.But I miss my friend already, there has to be a reason, something, I am so ready to cuss..Dammit dammit dammit and then again Dammit.

Oh I am so very sorry to hear the news of Linda’s passing. May she rest in peace.

No flag from me Ruth.I wanna cuss as well.I’ll miss her posting and fun and humor. A lot.

No! Oh Ruth, I am so terribly sorry, this is horrible news. Sad sad turn, I can"t even see the screen through my tears. Just heartbreaking.

Ruth – so sorry for your loss. There are going to be a lot of tears shed here. I’m glad you were with her at the end. Please know that you are in our hearts and we are here for you best we can be. You have lost a great friend.That last picture will stay in my heart.

I AM SO SO SORRY TO HEAR THAT! I WISH I HAD HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO KNOW LINDA IN REAL LIFE! How hard that must have been for you to come here and tell us that. My prayers and thoughts go out to you, her son and DIL and all who did know that dear, dear lady!

Oh, Ruth, I am so sad for you. Linda will be sorely missed by all of us.

Oh GAWD! I am crying now! That picture breaks my heart! I lost my friend Carmy a poster here, in 2010, “Knew” her, though sadly we never met. Now, even though I only ever knew Linda through her posts over the years, I lost another friend. And I am now reminded of Hope and Joy as well. Life sucks sometimes!

Even though I didn’t know her, I have been reading her posts and loving the pics she posted. Then when she got sick, I could see how much she meant to everyone here. I am so very sorry you, and her Ten Cats friends lost such a nice lady.

This is sad news. Linda had a lot of friends here and I always looked forward to her posts. I expected her to come bouncing back but it was not to be. Ruth you have been a good friend and I am sorry for your loss.

Ruth, having lost my father to a 16 year struggle with MS, I know that Linda is in a better place now. I join all the cat owners and cat friends on this “board” in thanking you for keeping us informed and we hope this will not be too difficult for you.

It is clear to me that Linda hasn’t gone anywhere. She lives in your hearts.

Linda gave us so much laughter and inspired so much love. What a great lady. May she find joy in heaven.

Good bye Linda, I only knew you here, but you brightened up my life with your posts.

I have shed tears over the last few hours when I read about Linda’s passing.My deepest condolences to her son, daughter in law, amazing friend Ruth and to her baby grandson Ronnie who Linda will never be able to watch grow up.In a way I’m feeling angry because there are so many horrible, sick people out there and Linda did nothing expect teach us how to love and care for one another.I will treasure her last post to me as I’m sure everybody will treasure her last post to them. I loved her very much.Rest in Peace, Linda.I will never forget you.

Perhaps they are not stars in the sky,But rather openings where our loved onesShine down to let us know they are happy.

Ruth, I am so sorry. After the first shock of your message, I read the other comments and can only say I agree with them all.

As all of her friends her and at other comics on the site, I will miss Linda’s good humored comments and funny posts.

But my heart goes out to you and her family, for losing such a wonderful spirit.

Like Carmy, she kept a positive attitude while facing some terrible challenges and losses in her life. YOU WILL BE MISSED, LADY!

A good and honorable person.

She will be missed…

Ruth,So sorry about the loss of our friend Linda. She was so faithful in posting pictures for all of us to enjoy and started something I hope can be continued. I am not computer literate and rarely comment but read the comments faithfully.

I usually get to this strip a little late in day. I read all but comment little. It is sad to loose one who reads and comments on these strips. Linda’s ‘voice’ will be missed.

Rest in Peace, dear Linda. You brightened up this strip with your beautiful cat pictures, your love for animals and your fellow-beings. Thank you, Ruth for stepping in and keeping us informed about Linda’s daily progress. You are grieving now because you have lost a wonderful friend but Linda will live in your heart and in your memories for evermore. I give thanks that Linda has been released from her pain and discomfort. May her beloved cats be loved and cherished by someone who understands their needs.

I’m stunned to learn of Linda’s passing. I thought she was improving and now this, yes it’s a very sad day for us all.Her postings were a bright spot in my day, in all of our days, she’ll be missed. Thank you Ruth for being there for Linda – and here for us.

Linda died. Words cannot describe the suddenness as she was getting better. I still believe God answers all prayers, but sometimes the answer is ‘No.’. Ruth, peace be unto you and your family, as well as Linda’s family. And do come back to us under your own avatar. You’ve gotten to be a fixture around here.

My bad, sorry, I posted a paraphrased line from the Kaddish, a traditional Hebrew prayer.Yehe shelama rabba min shemayya, verevaḥ vehatzala,hu berakhamav yaʻase shalom ʻalenu.Which translated means roughly.“May there be abundant peace from heaven, relief and salvation, grant in his mercy peace upon us.”

I’m so very sorry to hear of Linda passing. I’ve not been checking in on comments and just now found out. How terribly sad to lose a light such as Linda. Ruth I’m so glad to know she had a good friend with her till the end. My heart and thoughts go out to you and her family. She will always be remembered with fondness and love. May she rest in peace.
